Emma Stone Reveals Why She Turned Down 'Ghostbusters' Role
Emma Stone is opening up about why she chose not to star in the highly-anticipated, female-centric reboot of Ghostbusters.
The 26-year-old Aloha star had interest from Sony, but ultimately decided to pass on it.
“The script was really funny,” Emma told the Wall Street Journal. “It just didn’t feel like the right time for me. A franchise is a big commitment — it’s a whole thing. I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into that water.”
Ghostbusters does still boast an all-star cast with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones set to play the ghost-hunting foursome.
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth was recently cast as the receptionist. The film is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2016!
